Krishna Kumar is a multi talented musician who created many musicians all over Chennai. He is in music industry for the last 35 years as Recording Artist, Music Director for movies and TV Programs, Music Teacher and Mentor.

Born in a musically talented family, Krishna Kumar took music lessons at very young age of 14. Both his parents were professional musicians. While his father was recording artist playing Tabla and his mother was a singer. Krishna Kumar was a student of famous Drummer Mr Mahesh and then Mr Prem brother of world famous Drummer Sivamani

By the time Krishna Kumar turned 18 he was already playing professionally for various orchestras in Chennai and for famous playback singers. Krishna Kumar’s recent projects as music director, including Asaivam, Kadal Vazhakku. He was part of Sun TV’s ‘Pattukku Pattu’ , Raj TV’s Rajageetham, for several years. Krishna Kumar toured all over the world with singers such as S P Balasubramaniam, Chitra, Sujatha, Mano, Unni Menon and many others. He worked for Music directors such as Deva, Sabesh Murali, Vijay Anthony, Srikanth Deva.

In the last 35 years Krishna Kumar went on to creating numerous talented musicians who are very regulars on many of today’s popular TV programs. His students went on to becoming famous on variety TV programs on such as Rajageetham and many other

Besides owning, operating, teaching & mentoring in Swing Music Academy, Krishna Kumar also own and conduct "Krishna Shruthi"Light Music Orchestra for events such as Weddings and other social events. He is currently working on producing music for various TV commercials / advertisements.
